If You were not able to go on holiday in summer, You have got too much work to do and there is just no possibility to take rest for a long time – You have a wonderful opportunity to spend holidays at picturesque islands of Nothern Ladoga. For a short period of time You will be able to make a voyage under sail along the most beautiful places of Ladoga lake, to find out something very new and interesting, to learn beginner navigation skills on sailing boats, to angle, to have a swim, get a sun-tan, take a walk in forest and climb rocks and finally take a good rest. How to reach
Departure from Finlandski Railway station in 5.33 p.m. with a train to Kuznechnoe. (ticket – 280 RUB/5 EUR is to pay extra).
Transfer with a taxi to pier in Berezovo village, tourist camp BAZA LISI.(taxi is to pay extra on site)
It is also possible to start Your journey on Saturday morning. (Price remains unchanged).
Journey program:
We propose three variants of holidays under sail for a weekend (see Schedule of journeys above). First journey variant is a visit of the 57-th point on the Kilpola island, second variant – visit of deserted stone quarries on the continent and the third – walk to old ruins on the Kilpola island. Due to any of these variants You will sail the most part of the journey.
Day 1
Start point of the journey is Berezovo village in 8 p.m.. There are centerboard boats under Scarlet sails and instructors awaiting for tourists.
Then there is a move on centerboard boats to the island Belojarskij. There will be set a camp on the island, then proceeds settlement in tents and supper.
There will be an instruction, and then will be free time. It is possible to angle just near the camp. Tourists from previous groups managed to fish out more than five kilos roach within three hours and then broil it.
Day 2
Breakfast. Sailing to the Kilpola island, climbing one of the highest rocks on the island (57 m). Views on lake and pine peaks from the top of rock are awesome. Then proceeds observation of surroundings, taking photos of inner bay of Kilpola island, which is one of the most beautiful bays with numerous rocky islands. Lunch, Free time – fishing, picking of mushrooms and berries, walking along the island.
Return to camp.
In the evening there will be a picnic with shashlik, special travelling kitchen dishes, smoked fishes.
Day 3
Breakfast. Decamping. Return in Berezovo village. Move to Saint Petersburg.
(Approximate time of arrival in Saint Petersburg – 8 p.m.)
Journeys take place on: from Friday to Sunday (3 days /2 nights) Groups are from 4 people. (We accept group as well as single applications)
Journey price covers following: meals, insrtuctor’s work, rent of equipment and outfit for water journeys: sailing centerboard boats, life vests; rent of camping equipment: open fire equipment, tents, sleeping bags, thermal insulating mats.
To pay extra: railway tickets before and after journey. Transfer.
Equipment and outfit for water journey: centerboard boats – water crafts for 6 places, type "Dresscomb Logger". These are two-masted centerboard boats which are equipped with three sails 12 m2 each. These are custom-made water crafts, produced in Saint Petersburg especially for short termed journeys along Ladoga lake shore. Sculls, life vests, life lines represent certified and comfortable in use equipment.
Camping equipment: Tents are two-places tents. For each tent is given necessary quantity of thermal insulating mats. Sleeping bags keep temperature conditions, which ideally fit weather circumstances during the journey. Dishes used during the journey are individual. Together with them there are boilers, trays and everything necessary for cooking.
Journey meals: Sometimes due to the journey conditions dinner may be replaced by lunch. Food is prepared by all journey participants; help from tourists is not prohibited. There are fresh vegetables and yoghurts on the menu.
Safety measures: all water crafts are equipped with personal floating devices (life vests, life lines and other.).
Instructor may change journey route due to the weather conditions.
Children before 16 are accepted only together with adults.
For children before 12 there is a discount 10%.
